What is 3M Night Vision window film?

3M Night Vision is a dual-reflective construction — more reflective on the exterior face for daytime screening and solar rejection, less reflective on the interior so occupants keep the view out after dark instead of facing a mirror. It suits high-solar-load commercial glazing where a visible appearance change is acceptable.

Standard reflective films mirror on both faces, which is why older reflective installations feel oppressive from inside at night. The dual-reflective construction addresses that specific complaint.

Daytime privacy still follows the direction of light. Once the interior is brighter than the exterior, the screening reverses — that is physics, not a product limitation, and it applies to every reflective film on the market.

Regional application example: approximately 440 square feet of 3M Night Vision 15 on the glass overhead doors at Delmarva RV Center in Milford, Delaware, where heat and glare reduction with retained outward visibility was the goal.

Technical performance, service life and warranty terms come from current 3M documentation for the specific product and application. We attach those documents to proposals rather than paraphrase them.

Site survey for existing buildings, plan review for projects in design. Either way the first conversation is about the glass.
