Glass & compatibility
Can window film be installed on curtain wall?
Yes — curtain wall is one of the most common commercial applications. The film is applied to the interior surface within each glazing pocket. What needs attention is identifying the glass makeup, detailing the film edge at the mullion, and planning interior access on upper floors.
Curtain wall systems frequently contain more than one glass type across an elevation — vision glass, spandrel and occasional replacement lites of a different makeup. Treating them as identical is how one lite ends up with the wrong film.
Edge detail is the visible quality marker. A clean, consistent reveal at the mullion is what separates a professional installation from an obvious one, and it is worth specifying.
Access is an interior logistics question: occupied floors, furniture at the glass line and after-hours availability, all of which are planned with building management before mobilization.
