What is 3M Prestige window film?
3M Prestige is a non-metallized multilayer optical film built from many polymer layers engineered to reject infrared energy while passing visible light. It is specified where a building must keep looking like clear glass and cannot lose daylight. It is not the right choice when severe glare control or daytime privacy is the primary objective.
Because the construction contains no metal, it does not corrode and does not carry the signal attenuation associated with metallized films. Visually it is the least intrusive solar option in the range from both inside and outside.
The trade-off is real: at a given visible light level, a dual-reflective product will generally reject more total solar energy, and a darker product will control glare more aggressively. Prestige also carries a higher material cost than ceramic alternatives.
Any performance figure used in a proposal must come from current 3M documentation for the specific product and the actual glass configuration. Percentages quoted without a stated glass makeup are not usable in a specification.
Technical performance, service life and warranty terms come from current 3M documentation for the specific product and application. We attach those documents to proposals rather than paraphrase them.
