Solution briefSolution — Interior glass

Conference Room Privacy Film

Glass-fronted conference rooms are standard in modern Philadelphia office fit-outs, and so is the complaint: the room is visible from the whole floor and nobody wants to use it for a difficult conversation.

The fix is rarely a full frost. Treating the eye-level band solves the sight line and keeps the room part of the floor plate.

Band height is the whole design

A band set against seated eye level screens the table without hiding the room. A taller band screens standing conversation at the whiteboard. A gradient does both softly and is more forgiving of mixed furniture heights.

We measure against the actual chairs and table rather than a default dimension, and we mark it up on the glass for approval before anything is cut.

02

Privacy, not soundproofing

Film handles visual privacy. It does nothing for acoustics, and if the real complaint is that conversations are audible through a glass front, film will not solve it. We say that up front instead of installing something that disappoints.

Interior glass scope on a typical floor

  • Conference and board room fronts
  • Executive and HR office glazing
  • Focus rooms and phone booths
  • Full-height glass manifestation in circulation
  • Reception screening and branded pattern work

Working around a live floor

Rooms come out of service one at a time. Most conference-room programs run on evenings or a weekend, and each room is cleaned and back in service before the next business day.

Common questions

Straight answers

Will a privacy band make the room feel closed in?
A band or gradient leaves the upper glass clear, so the room keeps its daylight and its connection to the floor. A full frost is only used where the requirement genuinely calls for it.
Does privacy film help with sound?
No. Film is a visual treatment and has no meaningful acoustic effect.
Can it be installed without shutting the floor?
Yes. Rooms are treated one at a time, usually in the evening, and returned to service the same night.
